Me : I'm having a pretty bad headache.
Boss : Stop acting like a girl and get back to work.
Me: It's a migraine headache.
Boss: Ohh!! You know it's just in your head stop being a pussy. Don't think about the headache, and you won't feel any pain.
Me(in my head) : You fucking idiot you are partially correct it's in my head. But the pain won't stop if I stop thinking about it.

"You either suffer the pain of discipline, or you suffer the pain of regret."
Alarm is set for 0500 (and placed at the opposite side of the room, not more snoozing), jogging shoes are ready and, after a year of putting it off, this is my good night lecture. I'm done regretting.

Those developers working under non-technical bosses, i understand your pain.
1. Pain when they don't realise that output != number of hours put in. Aaaaaaand that acting busy doesn't mean someone's working.
2. Pain when chilling out in office is necessary, because mind jobs don't work same as other jobs. Wherein if you don't vent it out you're gonna screw up the code. Them not getting that.
3. Pain of "meetings".
4. Pain of changing the feature when you're done, and them acting as if its a minor change.
5. Pain of vague requirements.
6. Pain of a product not thought through, and them trying to blame the implementation.rant developers life office pain office politics office life developerslife non tech people programmer life non techie5 -

Yeah sure Phillips, Lets not support android 7. Because when you make an electronic device controlled by an app that helps people with chronic pain. I'm sure those people would like to spent their afternoon finding out how to downgrade android just to keep using it.
The device is called pulserelief and when its working its great :) but when you're in pain you really are NOT IN THE MOOD TO DOWNGRADE YOUR ANDROID VERSION. -
A friend broke his leg and installed windows to distract himself from the injury pain.

Spent an entire day trying to fix a major bug that made the entire application fall over... It was an unclosed div tag. Literally one missing / can cause so much pain!3

When I go to bed, I power off my laptop instead of just closing the lid. I don't bring my phone with me. I don't have a smartwatch. I sleep with no electronic devices with me.
Anyone can solve a lot of their problems by conversing with themselves one on one. Instead, they prefer a feed algorithm taking away their pain. But the nature of pain-relieving addictions is that they always intensify the pain in the long run.
Listen to yourself. Speak to yourself quietly, one on one, without mark zuckerberg in your room listening to your every word. The overwhelming pain will be no more after mere minutes. Only then can you be free.4 -
>spends two hours adding a cool feature

A word of advice to framework authors:
If I am currently using v2.5.5 of a library, and I update to 2.8.6, I would expect to maybe have to update a few deprecated method calls here and there.
I do not expect the entire API to be completely different, with half the classes totally renamed and restructured. Breaking changes should go into a new major version plz4 -

THE TALE OF THE CRAZED VISIONNAIRE
Once upon a time some masochist woke up and snorted a gallon of glue. "I NEED PAIN", he shouted, and then proceeded to hammer down his own cock over an iron anvil, in an effort to uncover the most intense pain a human could experience. And yet even such a punishment was not enough, for our pain-starved hero thirsted for even higher heights. "This hammering can't satisfy my spirit", he proclaimed; "I shall find ever greater pain than what little solace these tools can provide, but it's much too hard a task for a single mortal to complete in one lifetime. And lo, I will gather around me the bravest and uncover the intense sorrow no human has ever experienced before!". And for his journey he found himself a loyal fellowship, all striving to find the ultimate pain a mortal can experience.
"But who could be crazy enough to follow a glue-fueled schizo who hammers their own genitals?", you might stupidly ask. But why, the JS community of course.

The quantity of pain is always constant. People do self harm to increase physical pain for emotional pain to decrease.
The only way to survive the pain of living is to learn how to create and contemplate.
There is no safe space. Agility is the natural way of survival. Something forcing you to “bend” doesn’t make you weak.
Things like discussions and anger rarely change anything but they take energy and tend to breed.
There is no universal meaning. There is no leaderboard at the end. This means you can invent your own meaning. I built my meaning on contemplating what’s right rather than fighting what’s wrong.7 -

my covid is still not recovered. Today marks the two weeks. I got fever the first day and then fever was gone but body pain and weakness was there. In 2 days, body pain was gone too. Now I couldn't only eat well. So tried light food but after sometime it was harder to eat properly.
Now I'm having the same diet I used to have before covid, but I'm still not feeling well. I feel pain in my shoulders. For the past 5 odd years my Bluetooth headphones wouldn't connect to my laptop properly and I had to issue a second Connect command while the first was pending to get it working. I even wrote a script to automate this: https://github.com/lbfalvy/...
Today Bluez finally released a patch for this. That's right, after many years, today the issue got fixed; Connect now returns an error if a call is already pending.
My headphones still don't work, but my workaround is now correctly recognized as invalid input.12 -

CBD oil has been used for years by individuals, who want to reduce their dependence on drugs. It was only recently that CBD was studied for possible pain relief by medical professionals. It is a highly important part of any healthy diet, because it is an important natural compound in plants.
Since the ancient Chinese first use marijuana as a medicinal treatment in 3000 BC, various cultures have used its healing properties, for a variety of medical conditions. However, in modern society, people often rely on pharmaceutical drugs to deal with their pain. One of the common problems with painkillers is that they can cause a number of side effects that can worsen your health. These side effects include depression, anxiety, insomnia, irritability, suicidal thoughts and more. Therefore, people have been turning towards natural remedies for their pain relief.
CBD oil has been shown to be very effective at reducing your pain, especially if you are taking narcotic painkillers. It is believed to stop or prevent the onset of physical discomfort, which means it does not provide temporary relief. As long as you are using it regularly, it can effectively help you overcome your pain.
In recent studies, medical professionals have suggested that the effectiveness of CBD was increased when it was combined with other herbs, such as ginger and eucalyptus. The main reason for this is that these two herbs have a great deal of medicinal qualities. Many people choose to combine these two natural ingredients to help reduce the amount of chemicals in their body, which will lead to a reduction in pain. By taking these products together, you will feel a reduction in pain faster than ever before.
You need to take care when using these products, however, as it is important to make sure that you do not take more than one product at a time. Taking too much of a product can actually create a higher chance of adverse reactions.
People have discovered that by taking CBD oil, they can relieve their pain, without relying on pharmaceutical drugs. If you have been using painkillers for a long period of time, try using a supplement to help you get the relief you are looking for.
Another great thing about CBD oil for pain relief is that it will help you maintain a healthy appetite. Studies have shown that when people eat foods high in CBD, such as hemp seeds and hemp oil, their bodies release natural hormones to help them fight off hunger.

Meiplus Dentalcare: Effective Relief for Toothaches in Marine Parade
Toothaches can be one of the most uncomfortable and painful experiences you can have. Whether it's a sharp, constant pain or an occasional throb, toothaches are often a sign that something isn't right with your oral health. If you’re experiencing tooth pain and need relief, Meiplus Dentalcare in Marine Parade is here to help. Located at 141 East Coast Road, Singapore 428831, our dental team is ready to provide effective treatments for toothaches and other dental concerns.
What Causes Toothaches?
Toothaches can occur for various reasons, ranging from minor to more severe underlying issues. Understanding the cause of your toothache is the first step in finding the appropriate treatment. Some common causes of toothaches include:
Cavities: The most common cause of toothaches is a cavity or dental decay. When bacteria in your mouth break down food particles, they produce acid that erodes your tooth enamel, leading to cavities that can cause pain.
Gum Disease: Gum infection or inflammation, also known as gingivitis or periodontitis, can result in toothaches, as the gums begin to pull away from the teeth, leading to sensitivity and pain.
Tooth Abscess: A severe tooth infection can lead to an abscess, a pocket of pus that causes intense, localized pain. Abscesses require immediate treatment to prevent the infection from spreading.
Tooth Sensitivity: Some people experience tooth pain due to sensitivity, often triggered by hot or cold food and drinks. This sensitivity can be caused by worn enamel or receding gums.
Teeth Grinding (Bruxism): Habitual grinding of teeth, especially at night, can cause toothaches as it puts excess pressure on the teeth, leading to discomfort.
Trauma or Injury: A fall or injury to the mouth can result in tooth pain, either from a cracked tooth, loose tooth, or other dental injuries.
How We Treat Toothaches at Meiplus Dentalcare
At Meiplus Dentalcare, we prioritize your comfort and well-being. If you’re experiencing a toothache, our team of experienced dentists will conduct a thorough examination to determine the cause of your pain and recommend the best treatment options for relief. Here are some of the ways we treat toothaches:
Dental Fillings: If your toothache is caused by a cavity, we may recommend a dental filling. We’ll remove the decayed portion of the tooth and fill it with a material that restores its shape and function.
Root Canal Therapy: If the pain is due to an infection in the pulp of the tooth, a root canal may be necessary to remove the infection and save the tooth. Our skilled dentists use advanced techniques to ensure this procedure is as comfortable and effective as possible.
Gum Treatment: If your toothache is caused by gum disease, we can provide professional cleaning and gum treatments to reduce inflammation and improve your gum health.
Tooth Extraction: In cases where the tooth is severely damaged or infected and cannot be saved, we may recommend a tooth extraction. Our team will ensure that the procedure is done safely and with minimal discomfort.
Mouthguards for Teeth Grinding: If your toothache is caused by teeth grinding, we can create a custom mouthguard to protect your teeth and prevent further damage.
Medication for Pain Relief: We may recommend over-the-counter pain relievers or prescribe medication to help manage your toothache pain while we work on resolving the underlying issue.

We understand that pain, whether it’s from chronic conditions, sports injuries, or muscle tension, can have a significant impact on your daily life. Our holistic therapies are designed to not just alleviate pain, but also to address its root causes, so you can experience long-term relief.
Acupuncture: Acupuncture is a time-tested treatment for managing various types of pain, including chronic back pain, joint pain, headaches, and sports injuries. By stimulating specific points on the body with fine, sterile needles, acupuncture promotes natural healing, reduces inflammation, and helps to release endorphins—your body’s natural painkillers.
Cupping Therapy: Cupping therapy is a traditional healing technique that uses vacuum cups to create suction on the skin. This technique helps to improve blood circulation, reduce muscle tension, and relieve pain, especially in areas of chronic stiffness or tightness. Cupping is effective for conditions like neck pain, shoulder tension, and back discomfort.
Trigger Point Therapy: Trigger point therapy targets specific muscle knots and tight spots that cause pain in other areas of the body. By applying pressure to these points, our therapists can release tension, improve mobility, and provide relief from both acute and chronic pain.
