I've been slowly increasing the size of my tech manager's mouse cursor over the last month when he leaves his computer unlocked. It's about an inch tall now and he hasn't noticed yet. Everyone else in the office does and it's the best thing ever.11
-
I might have to say goodbye to all the tech I have now because my parents are pissed off about me not wanting to talk everything about the university.
Everything... Just taken away if I don't tell them exact fucking grades in every subject until tomorrow.
How about killing me now, huh? At least I would fucking have an ending to my suffering under them.77 -
Cleaning lady just asked me what OS I use. "Well, Linux" I replied. Oh, she said, I'll ask my husband if he knows about it. He's also good with computers (probably tech support chap or something like that).
I figured that she might not remember the name "Linux", so I thought about writing it down. But it was so hard to resist the thought of instead writing down "btw I use Arch Linux"! 😆

Javascript developer interview
One of the RH interviewers started asking about myself, personal information, etc..
He : well, let me introduce you our tech lead, he will make you some question about JS
Me : alright
Tech Lead : ummm, do you know javascript?
Me : yes..?
Tech Lead : ok, cool. We will call you.
I got the job..8 -
For some reason my tech enthusiast mind gets really enthusiastic about the fact the Google calendar icon is now based on what date it actually is.
25 -
As i see a ton of people complaining here about family related tech stuff. I guess i should introduce everyone to this guy.
I don't meme a lot but this one really hits close to home for me.

Love this story about a dusty old original Commodore 64 that has been running for 25+years in a Poland auto repair shop. It runs a program to balance driveshafts.

I ranted about this somewhat in the past, but my biggest hurdle has been my family and friends. Please don't take this as ego or conceit, because I don't feel this way about myself. But they all say because of my exotic appearance (Being Japanese and Norwegian) that I should be a model, dancer, actress, or some other vapid thing.
I love tech. My dad is an engineer, so I've been surrounded by tech since I was very young. So now that I am out of high school, I want to turn my coding hobby into a career. My family and friends are not necessarily discouraging me much anymore, but they still aren't supportive. Doesn't matter though, this is the path I've chosen.24 -
Sometimes I wonder what my non tech friends think about my search history ...

It's easy to make jokes about this whole Google assistant thing, but can we just take a second to appreciate what they've done here?
Ethics and morals aside, this tech is incredible, we are truly living in the future. Right here, right now.18 -
Finally have something to be happy about ! 😊
Got an internship at a tech giant for the next summers.54 -
Sadly to say, but devrant is slowly moving away from dev part of its name, even rant part.
More I see posts about this tech sucks vs that tech sucks. That being annoying, would be fine, not for me, but fine.
The worse part are the memes. Repost memes, not funny, though, maybe funny to some, still no effort reposts.
Even worse are posts that have nothing to do with dev. Like recent post about soldiers and gay people (maybe you saw it). Why the hell post it here?
Going down are the ++ beggers, sadly I see even more of them.
Yes I understand I can just leave this platform.
I just wanted to express these mixed feelings I have been getting for my once favorite place to read about other devs experience.16 -
When I'm watching a news story about the tech industry or software development, I always wonder if people in other professions also scream at their TV when their field of expertise is butchered with bad analogies and half-truths by reporters and anchors.11
-
Everybody talks about burnout syndrome or crappy tech interviews, but not about a real struggle for devs, bubbles in their laptop stickers.3
-
The worst thing about the gender gap in tech is that I can't find someone to borrow a hair tie from.13
-
fucking mashable. I hate it so much. did you see their story today? they're supposed to be about "tech" BUT THEY TALKED ABOUT WHAT THE COLOR OF YOUR FUCKING IPHONE SAYS ABOUT YOU. THEN THEY TALKED ABOUT A CASE. YOU FUCKING DUMBASS, THATS AN ANDROID CASE NOT AN IPHONE CASE. CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHY THE FUCK THESE PEOPLE ARE EMPLOYED? 99% OF THE PEOPLE ON DEVRANT COULD DO A 100% BETTER JOB. AMERICA AND OTHER COUNTRIES ARE ALL NOW STUPIDER BY LOOKING AT YOUR CONTENT. FUCK YOU MASHABLE🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕

Most of the tech YouTubers are really noob engineers.
Joma was a data scientist. He is an L3 engineer at Google and he hasn't done much during the last 1 year based on his internal stats.
I saw tech leads stats while he was at Google and that dude did nothing during his time. I'm sure he was an IC before he became a lead.
Clement talks about system design bull shit but he's a math major who worked on some angular front end while he was at Google. Basically his experience in tech is mostly involving using mat-button and mat-input. He also quit FB in a month.
Listening to tech lead gives me cancer. That guy was also some front end/ mobile engineer. I don't think any less of mobile engineers but tech leads acts as if he built some large scale systems at Google and FB. His opinion about react native shows how much of a noob he is. He also talked about docker in one of his video which showed he had some fundamental misunderstanding of what docker is. In his courses, he struggles to explain simple algorithms.
I don't know how these people have the courage to claim themselves as some sort of experts in the field when they are extreme noobs. They also sell some shady courses and are robbing innocent college kids.
One thing they all do well is talk. Which I give them 10/10.9 -
I wonder, do you also sometimes take a tech book and read it like a novel?
Maybe I'm strange. It's just thrilling to read about a new problem and wonder 'oh my God, how will they solve it' - can't wait to read on 😅7 -
It seems like GitHub just got blocked here in China...
the gov: *talks about the importance of tech-related education all day long*
also the gov: *blocks every major site that provides good programming-related resources/education*41 -
Note: our PM is new.
PM: can you help me?
Me: sure, what do you need?
PM: where do the folders with all the techie stuff come from?
I had no context and spent the next 20 minutes trying to work out what folders she was on about. Turned out she wanted to know where the client side folders on our development server come from, was going to explain 'Gulp' and 'Branch' to her but I think I'd be there for the rest of the day... Why do 'tech' companies hire non-tech-savie people.4 -
1. Finally publish some of my open source projects.
2. Career progression (move to more of a tech leadership role).
3. Stop taking shit from managers who know nothing about code. -
My parents r pretty helpful with me programming. They r very supportive 😊😊
I even tell my mom how things work and she takes a lot of interest in understanding as well! She is my own rubber ducky ❤️❤️
My dad is busy and not a tech minded person so he is kinda ignorant about tech, but never stops encouraging me 😊😊
Go my mom and dad!! Yaaay 😍😍2 -
“There’s too many Firefox quantum rants...”
Lemme let you in on a little secret:
It’s nothing new, get over it.
Apple released a new phone.
Windows updated.
Samsung or Google releases a phone.
Exam time.
Do any of you see a common theme? It’s the same people posting three metric fuck tons of posts about recent news. Wow, a tech person sharing tech news, imagine that. It’s just a phase, we all notice it. It’ll go away. Thanks. Have a nice day.13 -
Once a CEO is 24*7 a CEO. For me it's Chief Experiment Officer
And only dreamers can have that title. One who dreams at night and work it out the following day.
Having a startup is much more than just having an idea
It's about revenue,
It's about value,
It's about team,
It's about impact,
It's about growth,
It's about compliance,
It's about being finance, marketing, HR and tech expert at the same time.
It's about respect the supporters,
At the end it's about the money you earn as an individual.
For playing all the above roles, you need to dream real big.
To me startup is about falling in love with your work first.
-
By an Indian CEO2 -
I'm pretty sure many people agree with this, me too in some way but seriously, what's the problem about helping some relatives with tech stuff?
17 -
Company that has tech != Tech company.
The amount of "Hey fellow programmers" I get from marketers of all people is cringeworthy. No amount of blockchain in your sentences will magically convince me you know anything about it. -
Meeting with an investor who brought two tech advisors.
Advisor A: you should consider using php.
Me: why?
Advisor B: node.js is older.

You can argue about advantages/disadvantages, but how the fuck can you argue with a fucking timeline?!4 -
Just tech screened a kid for a senior Network automation role, in a specific niche.
He's never automated anything before. Didn't know networking basics, didn't know about the niche...
This guy hasn't heard of unit testing or UDP... good luck out there kid. You've got balls anyway.12 -
"Eww that is not Dev-related!"
Shut the fuck up. For me, devRant is a social media for developers and not a social media about only dev-related shit.
"devRant is a fun community for developers to share and bond over their successes and frustrations with code, tech, and life as a programmer!"
You see?
"for developers"
"about code, tech and *life*"
For fucks sake... Stop crying around and just dislike it if you don't want it.7 -

Hello guys, here is my first rant about my job. So, I work in marketing, mostly content and SEO as the main job and my 2nd job is a somewhat-somehow webgrafic design-something (blame my fiancee for this). This one is about my content job.
As a content, my main role is to translate information (health tech, tech or anything) in a somewhat comprehensive way so about anybody can read my articles. And boy, I love my job, the research part, the writing part, almost everything. But on some days I have to find a way to explain protozoa to normal people. Aaaaaand today I have to explain this shit!
Now, how the f*ck I will manage this, I have no darn clue but I am starting to learn how my dev fiancee feels when he has to explain some complicated stuff to his clients, I swear!

I’m sitting in the parking lot 1.5 hours early to start my new job today. I’ve been rather nervous about it since I accepted the job offer in early December. I’m going to be working with completely foreign tools and software stacks than what I’m used to. I never said I was pro or experienced at this tech stack, let them know during the interviews repeatedly that I’m just getting started with this kind of work and tech stack (devops role using jenkins and ansible mostly). And my experience and knowledge is limited to theoretical understanding of how these tools work together.
I’m excited to get to learn all kinds of new tech and push myself. But I’m also terribly nervous about how quickly I can pick this all up so I’m not a burden to the team.15 -
Controversial tech rant begins here:
You know, I'm sure a lot of you guys know that it is pretty uncommon to encounter a woman who is who is into tech (and ranting about said tech). This has always made people question why. I personally feel like that is the case because those that do like tech, and those that don't just find a different interest. I thought that would suffice, but now Google and Microsoft are advertising their diversity programs. I was fine with all that until I was personally affected by it. I intended to apply for scholarships from Microsoft. They turned me away because according to them, they began giving them only to people who were "marginalized". That and their commercials trying to pressure young girls to join the STEM field. Again nothing wrong with women in the tech field, but now that this is turning into favoritism I have to fight harder battles to compete in the tech industry. Not only that, but now I read a study about their employment. Despite the number of people they turned away and the money they spent on these programs, thr companies STILL haven't become any more diverse, and from what it seems, their reaction lately has been to double-down and try harder. I just want an open, honest, and fair tech community. Has anyone else felt the affects of this situation?10 -
Became an uncle to two beautiful girls the other week. But the plan to make them the future tech support of the family is already in play! Hopefully they will exceed me in about 10 years, I'm a front-end dev so it shouldn't be that hard...

Translated this golden bit from the Norwegian comic "Lunch" for you guys👍🏻

Kjell: You see? Worn out again!

I like how (almost) everybody is positive about the layout/design change here, whenever any site changes even the slightest all my non-tech-friends lose their shit because normal people can't handle change.4

I don't understand all this chat about misrepresented groups in tech. Why is it that this forced inclusion as reached even the tech community... Personally I have no problem working with anyone, but yeah...
...in 10 years, I never worked with a female colleague, never with a black person, never with a transgender/unicorn... But I would have absolutely no problem sharing with them... Every person Ive work with so far has been very passionate about tech and software and they sure worked their asses off to have the position they have, learning everyday and coding long hours...
If you're 'misrepresented' grab a fucking book, Google, train, fight, find your way... I never had enough money to study a degree but I loved CS so much since a kid I just made myself a fucking programmer and now I'm a white, straight, male working in IT, so fucking what.39 -
I just explained to my dad, who doesn't know a lot about tech, what net neutrality is and about today's vote of the FCC.
His response (I don't know how to properly translate it to English so I will have to wait for AlexDeLarge): 'was sind das für idioten, haben die jetzt alle den Arsch offen? '12 -
My boss keeps trying new tech with important new projects instead of trying the fucking new things with anything other than important shit.
I support this let's try better options approach but cmon, be rational about it.2 -
My girlfriend is ranting about her work... It's a shame she isn't into tech or something like that.. If she would, I could show her the beauty of this online platform.
-
Today I explained a young kiddo that <insert multilayer game here> cannot work without servers.
Then he asked me how I don't get bored writing so much...1 -
Got asked into a meeting to give my opinions on the security about software that might be used to implement a web app.
After 20 minutes of listening to bullshit that wasn't even my concern they got into databases and I was constantly talked down, by people who know shit about tech, about the professional use of PostgreSQL and they only did shut the fuck up when I compared their "important business" to Facebook using MySQL.
Come on... Stop talking down about shit you know nothing about.3 -
Any non tech people think you're crazy when you talk about time in decimals?
I said 1.75 years, I nearly got sectioned. Lol1 -
A tech trend I'm excited about ?
Fuck these days everyone is so excited about everything. One can't decide what to pursue. I end up reading and trying bits of many things without being useful at anything.
I can't imagine how lost newbies might be these days lol
For now I just decided to be better at what I do. We'll see if I can hold my horses 🙄4 -
I really despise the non-tech sluts who think their only job is to hold meetings and "talk". "Do you wannaa taalk about iiit?" Fuck you bitch you're not my therapist.2
-
Everytime a rant about a tech problem appears, most of you try to be supporting and helpful in the comments section.
Thank you for beeing nice to people who suffer from work related pain.3 -
Don't ever talk to non-tech people about tech. It'll fuck up your mood.
I've talked to a non-tech person lately, so...11 -
How often do women bring up their own gender in tech interviews? I've never done it, and I've never interviewed anyone, but I'm curious about whether it's ever explicitly mentioned (beyond a, "I'm in a women in tech group" or "I mentor young girls in my free time").
I don't want to start any debates. Just curious about what people on the Other Side of the Table see.20 -
Non tech coworkers before COVID-19: you don't need home office, it's only a way to avoid job responsibilities
Non tech coworkers today: yeah home office is a great idea, why we didn't think about it before2 -
Docker and kubernetes might be about the biggest boost in productivity that we have had as developers in the last fucking century and I can't speak well enough for theres technoligies.

I’m curious about the age of tech workers, and what they do career wise as they approach 40, 50, and beyond.
I’m young and benefit from it right now, but the ageism seems strong in this industry and I won’t be young forever.
Does anyone here have a tech career in their 40s+ and if so what advice would you offer to a younger generation of technology professionals to maintain relevance and a satisfying career?16 -
I have a friend who likes to change his tech stack every time he reads about a new technology online.....He started working on a startup idea of his.....He started with Larvel.....then came NodeJS...Then came .Net Core......Then Go.....And yesterday he told me that he is thinking about making it in Vapour.
Him: how long do you think it will take me
Me: ........Forever4 -
I've been wondering what tech will be like in 50 years time,
I can only imagine it will be insane compared to today's tech.
I mean we have only really had 30 solid years or so of computers in people's hands. And the world is.. absolutely different . And really 20 years of internet (when it's been properly mainstream)
If your 20 now you have about a 50-60% chance of being able to see 2070
I think I really want to see that.
I promise I ain't high 🤔5 -
I finally got a job at a tech company (although it's not a tech job) with a very good work/life balance.
Therefore, I plan on getting more serious about properly learning how to program in my spare time, also because, being a tech company, programmers are all over the place and are generally willing to talk about code.
I must say that while job hunting, devRant has been very useful to me since it allowed me to understand what kind of environment I'd like to work in. So far, the first few weeks of work have been great.
Ah, and the view from the office is unbeatable.

Client, who have no idea about tech. wants our cloud based centralized and universal platform that I developed to be hosted on his own server, for sake of his data privacy. He thinks we will sell his data to his competitor4
-
Working in a tech company as a project manager, the CEO asked me: a client requested to code the frontend with something call active java, are you familiar with it?
Me: well, it must be a new tech.."searched online..", no results found.
After calling the client, he was asking about React native.🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ -
General approach : I'm wasting my time by just sitting in front of computer all day. Since I'm freelancer, almost all of my work can be done at one place. They think, I should get a REAL job.
When they need help with tech : I'm the guy who knows everything about tech and can fix their mobile, printer, toaster, washing machine and nuclear warfare.
When it comes to admiring what I do, I'm just a useless piece of shit but, when they need technical assistance I'm their lord and savior!!1 -
Really? Is this the Ubuntu Unity logo? Tech journalists honestly, if you want to write about new tech things write properly with proper information and relevant images. No dev will read that article if you do this kind of blunder.
4 -
Today I had a dinner with several members of my family. At some point my uncle decided to bring up ‘tech stuff’ so we can talk about it. Nevertheless, few seconds in he was trying to convince me that IE is the best browser, being far superior than firefox, chrome etc.
I just nodded and started talking about how HTML is the language to learn if you want to be a dev 😅😂4 -

I just wanted to share my excitement! I'm going to start my first job in tech in about a week! I am going to be a QA Scripter and I'm only nineteen! Please find this attached gif with great humor in reference to how I feel right now

A plain computer illiterate guy rings tech support to report that his computer is faulty.
Tech: What's the problem?
User: There is smoke coming out of the power supply.
Tech: (keeps quiet for the moment)
Tech: You'll need a new power supply.
User: No, I don't! I just need to change the startup files.
Tech: Sir, the power supply is faulty. You'll need to replace it.
User: No way! Someone told me that I just needed to change the startup and it will fix the problem! All I need is for you to tell me the command.
Tech support: 10 minutes later, the User is still adamant that he is right. The tech is frustrated and fed up.
Tech support: (hush hush)
Tech: Sorry, Sir. We don't normally tell our customers this, but there is an undocumented DOS command that will fix the problem.
User: I knew it!
Tech: Just add the line LOAD NOSMOKE <nosmoke> at the end of the CONFIG.SYS. Let me know how it goes.
10 minutes later.
User: It didn't work. The power supply is still smoking.
Tech: Well, what version of DOS are you using?
User: MS-DOS 6.22.
Tech: That's your problem there. That version of DOS didn't come with NOSMOKE. Contact Microsoft and ask them for a patch that will give you the file. Let me know how it goes.
1 hour later.
User: I need a new power supply.
Tech: How did you come to that conclusion?
Tech: (hush hush)
User: Well, I rang Microsoft and told him about what you said, and he started asking questions about the make of the power supply.
Tech: Then what did he say?
User: He told me that my power supply isn't compatible with NOSMOKE.3 -
Ordinary people brag about something they did in sports or somethin else boring they
did in their living.
Tech geeks brag about finally succeeding in installing Arch Linux.

Stuck at some dumb company event where attendance is mandatory. I'm supposed to answer technical questions if needed, but I suck at socializing with customers, and the sales guys are already chatting people up about the products I've developed so I don't have anything left to talk about. Not that anyone asks much about the tech behind the shiny GUI anyway...
Should i just leave? I doubt anyone would notice...9 -
COO Snake ousts CEO, fires founders, is generally clueless about tech and product and design and science (and basically everything this business is about) and expected me to drop everything else I do (rich, varied and fulfilling) and work full time as a slave-nerd. Some people just don’t get it.

Senior Tech lead keeps yapping about "we need more comments in the code"... Yeah right...
I reviewed his PR today:
# Get the feature list
builder.get_feature_list()
# Assign the features to the columns
target.columns = features

Qt vs HTML5 everywhere, but not a single line of code in these blog posts about it.
Good job pseudo-tech-bloggers.🙄
And that comparsion. Qt vs Angular. What the fuck. Nobody uses fucken Angular.8 -
"Come on, please try a bit harder. Why don't the IT students make an app to sell local goods online or something? Even I, without knowing anything about tech, consider this to be easy".
Wise words from a non tech substitute teacher I once had the honor of studying under. When he checked everyone's 1 month project proposals, he expressed his disappointment.
I wonder if he works in management now.1 -
Some people get ego boost when they get positions like team lead or manager for software development team. In a nutshell you don't know shit about programming how the fuck you became tech lead? You fucked up the entire project that you managed and now shifting blame on someone else. Well fuck you!10
-
What really gets on my nerves?
People that think I can fix every computer problem there is, just because I'm a developer and therefore must know everything about PCs.
What do I look like, a Tech Wizard?15 -
Yesterday I found a Fridge on Amazin which you plug into your USB Port. I really liked the product so I told my friend about it. Unfortunately she doesnt know shit about tech😂. First I had to explain what a fucking USB Port is!!! A USB Port! After an hour of explaining she thought that the fridge is for cooling a USB Port. FML😂😂10

I've deliberately searched a tonne of tech related stuff so my Google feed shows me tech news, but just because I live in Australia in getting bombarded with shit about the royal family.... I don't give a fuck how you pronounce Louis, I just want news!1

When a Field Tech emails you about a problem and the screenshot is embedded in a Word Document. WTF, why can't they send it as a f'ing jpeg, gif, or IDK a png?
BAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH2 -
So I'm about to finish The Design of Everyday things by Don Norman and I have Clean Code coming up next.
But what are some good programming books that are tech agnostic?2 -
When I see bullshit mostly about tech-related stuff, I usually imagine myself doing this. It makes me happy and in some situations almost tolerant to idiotism.

So who knows about this beauty / THE BEAST

Applying for web dev jobs in a state I'm about to move to...yeah you thought tech interviews were hard! Try impressing someone over the phone and that's your only chance :/2

As I sit and stare at code, and then stare at the Bills I need to pay as the month starts. I began to think, what if I too was part something new in Tech. Everytime, I see people creating new Tech, getting noticed, I wish I was there on forefront.
Then it gradually dawns on me, "you are just here to make ends meet, survive in the corporate world. Why care about the world. Let it go as it is."
"A shitty life".3 -
Thinking about creating a tech news account on devRant. A little idea that just came to my mind...
The account will contain all kinds of news! (about the tech industry of course)
So for example when a company acquires another company (IBM > RedHat, Microsoft > GitHub, etc.), a well-known website/app gets new features or a company releases a new smartphone, we will inform you here!
Of course I'd need some help if I wanted to do something like this. Especially from other timezones! (I'm im Austria/Europe)
Write a comment, if you're interested in helping out! The more people, the better!17 -
I wish dev work was about the tech, the logic, the architecture
but annoyingly it's always about people7 -
Tech head fires a mail few days company is planning a hackathon. Overnight at office, with food, music and home drop offs in morning. We devs feel excited we will get time to work on our personal projects and complete them.
Yesterday, tech head fires a mail about the topics. Guess what? The topics are projects which company needs to scale up... Image recognition and text extraction. Selenium. Esign.
Now I am searching for an excuse to skip the hackathon...4 -

When you think about it.. we, DevOps, are the Mario Bros of the tech world.
We do the building, maintenance and pipelining so that whatever shit developers produce, it would end up in the right place w/o getting stuck7 -

All those stories about too much time on social media...
and also not knowing why you should get a tempered glass screen protector.... Even if you're screen is reinforced with Gorilla Glass...

I don't understand why there is such a hypocritic professionalism in tech industry.
In the careers page ,these companies show smiling people, party images , slides and shit. And while selecting resumes, they want to scan buzzwords to select a particular candidate and hate "actual" introductions.
Like, how would you like to meet someone in a bar , who introduces himself as " a super enthusiastic 10x engineer and a tech enthusiast with a knack of building scalable and industry recognized softwares in x tech for last y years". Dude, introduce yourself as a human not a bot.
There is a clear difference when we are talking about personal stuff and when we are talking about tech in real life, why not maintain that in your resume?
But no, just write a single sentence in first person p.o.v and next thing you know, you see tons of LinkedIn post about "how to write a 'professional' resume"7 -
People who dont know shit about technology and dont know how much work is required to make a product are commenting on how software should be made. (Pure management background people not even senior level).
- PS. Im fine with management people with tech background.2 -
I like PHP but every new tech is about all the other languages ! Recently i was searching for microservice architecture and oh it's so easy with nodejs ! It's ready made for Go ! Java has a library build in ! What about Symfony ? Laravel ?18

I'm a tech lead for a new agile project for a manager who knows nothing about agile. Having to work on a chart that shows exactly how many sprints each milestone will be and when it will complete for like, 17 sprints from now when requirements aren't even set. Wtf?7

Applied for a new job today! It's in a different city, but it's with a company I'm familiar with, doing tech I'm familiar with. They provided my current employer with managed hosting and occasional bugfix and upgrade support before we completely changed our tech stack last year.
I've been feeling sort of stuck in a hole for a while. I'm unsure about moving, but it's partly of my own making and I was unsure about starting here when all the tech was new to me. I've been here 3.5 years, my first actual dev job, and I do think I've done what I came here for. -
Just reminiscing about the time I needed to recover my ldap password and the procedure consisted of an asthmatic tech support dude showing it to me in a giant spreadsheet.
-
I've been watching some documentaries about the Tech industry lately and after just finishing "Terms and Conditions May Apply" I feel deeply disturbed by the simply massive scale of surveillance that is deployed by the tech giants. I don't think this is something that we should all just let slide.6

I wish I could handle tech like my mom did :D Instead of raging and getting angry if something won’t work. She go out, do work in her garden or something and give a damn shit about tech :D techlevel over 9000!1

Sysadmin's nemesis: a DBA. Especially an oracle DBA. There's no other kind of tech worker I've seen who's more opposed to best practices.
How about for devs?4 -
Why are there bots on devrant now this app has like 50 active users and we’re all tech savvy enough to know not to fall for a shit crypto scam damnit I hate crypto just shut up about blockchain we get it you’re compensating for something7

Never been a fan of podcasts before, but I'm fixing to take a stab at listening to some.
What's a good tech/programming podcast? (Bonus points if it's about Cyber security) -
Do you guys swear 😏, I do a lot about tech but I don't see anyone on here doing that

Took about 67 hours to do homework task and still not got the job offer. And they kept asking few times when I will send the task, because they saw me as very likely me fitting, so I thought there is high chance to get and was motivated to do the homework.
Of course that much time took because I did not know technologies, it would be much less if I knew tech.
But at least learned new tech.10 -
How about them relatives always thinking 'you sa work with computers? You sa tech support for EVERYTHING'3
-
One good thing about working at a shitty place is you end up knowing what not to do by just pure pain.
I once consulted for a company who had the latest tech - kubernetes, bit bucket, you name it. But it didn't matter. The code was shit. It's not about the tech, it's always about the people that use the tech.5 -
I hate the tech influencers that talk about clown strike and they obviously have no idea what they’re talking about go watch John Hammond before talking about what cnn said you assfuck
Y’know what maybe I just hate tech influencers10 -
after a long time i discovered that my nearest neighbours' son knows about CS stuff and another direct neighbor could potentially have a job for me to offer as a developer - and that neighbours' son is working for him.
what a freaking coincidence to finally have someone to talk to about tech who is not about a million miles distance and to also get a possible job in near future
i would say win-win for all of us😎😄1 -
I never dream about tech (at least not specific) but recently I had a dream rotating around the fact that terminators (e.g. T-800) are safe to be stored on Windows 95 as they can only boot from NES cartridge.3

I'm fairly new here, so I can't wait to see that one person who knows nothing about tech or software development/engineering join devRant and have no clue what anything is.

Day02: Literally said "I don't know what the latest version of Visual Studio is, but v.2013 had XYZ features".

I visit these tech meetups and most of the time I have no clue what they are talking about. It's good that they give free food.

Heya!
I recently opened a tech-insta account by name @codegirlr
Thinking of launching website for the same too.

Should not we update the joke about “my FBI agent” to “Google”? Serious question about tech surveillance.7
-
In Fireship's last video, the guy talks about how Amazon moved Prime video's architecture to old-fashioned monolith, from Serverless, and saved a bunch of money and improved performance doing so.
It makes me wonder, what old tech have we put behind us already that will later make a comeback as an 'improved' version of that tech? What do you think?11 -
All day long meeting with business consultant about company future, software architecture, technical debt, refactoring, resources, projects.
Conclusion from top consultant, ex country manager of a weeeell known tech company:
Who cares about "code" anyway? (disgusted smile)3 -
Returning moron here, missed ya guys.
Now, idk if this qualifies as politics but i guess it does have something to do with tech/privacy/hacking.
Free Julian Assange?
Surprised no one is talking about this honestly. @linuxxx any opinions?28 -
Can devRant become a place where I rant about other non-tech related things? I used to use tumblr for this but here, there's a better audience, I guess! or here, there's an audience at least...
Anyway, I'm very angry and depressed right now4 -
PM:"I don't care how you dev build it, those are tech details, not my business, I only care about the business domain."
sounds familiar?
this is the main reason why so many projects failed, can you image any professional use such an asshole statement in other industry.1 -
We were having a project followup and a colleague starts boasting to the client about her perfect school grades, so a friend, our tech lead and I start sending messages mocking her, so the tech leads bursted laughing in the middle of the meeting, then the pm asked him what was going on and he rated us out, since then he never uses his cellphone again during meetings.

Halt and Catch Fire is having another great season. Lived those days and it is so true. CompuServe, Compaq, Commodore, 5 1/4", Tandy 1000, Byte Mag, Atari, The Well... The tech you see is really 1985ish. Attention to detail is appreciated by long time technologists.
H&CF is about building a tech business and much applies to today's startups. That two brilliant tech women are leading the charge adds to it. All the characters are great Cameron, Gordon, Donna, the devs at Mutiny and Joe channeling Jobs (in my opinion) is spot on.
Any H&CF fans have an opinion?4 -
Just finished watching "Halt and Catch Fire" on Netflix. If you haven't checked it out, you definitely should. It's about 80s tech disruptions. Also, any other suggestions for tech related TV series / movies? Silicon Valley, Mr. Robot etc.?6

Honestly, i don't give a fck about getting job in tech companies of nature like TCS or Cognizant. So stop talking about them to be dad!
Wish he would understand that.2 -
In all the companies i worked at so far, never seen any employee (in any department) above age 50..maybe the ceo or some lawyer, but thats it.
Where do all the 50+ ppl go in tech?
I'm not sure the tech world will be what it is now even in 10 years.. but I'm just wondering do any of u guys think/worry about where we'll work when we stop being young and cool?
Looks like it's either u start your own business, which not everyone can, or..
what is option B exactly?!?17 -
so I asked a question on linus tech tips discord channel that wasn't GPU related and the whole chat went quiet.

I was curious about the geographical distribution of Top Tech Jobs (i.e. how many FAANG jobs are in Europe, where they are mostly focused, etc)... So I came up with a draft (prototype) of the Tech Jobs Radar:

Working in a shared office space, everytime I hear somebody brag about the "AI" they have on their stack, I ask "Really? Can you show me where it sits??" just to see how confused they get thinking it might be a new tech concept.2

Best thing about being a dev?
Going on Roblox and some kid claims he was a hacker, then you tell him why he isn't and does not know any of the tech terms you use. Then again why am I playing roblox4 -
I love when someone trash talks software or something tech when they so clearly have no idea what they are talking about in the slightest 🙃1

This happened about a month ago with my realtor while she was reading a clause from the lawyer that she needed to put on the offer.
Realtor: hey you're in tech *points at her phone and then on the paper*, can you copy and put it here. -
I was moved from a team I loved where I felt my tech leads were competent, where my tech leads valued my skills and my manager was fabulous and excelled at making sure everyone had the resources they needed and was rewarded for good work, to a team where my tech leads are inconpetent and constantly treat all the junior devs with condescension. Additonally, although my new manager seems nice and has good intentions, she is focused too much on the results of work and not the morale of her team. Consequently, she consistently ignores the negative feedback that is given about the tech leads because "the tech lead gets the results"

Windows sux (still, much more usable for me than Linux on a day-to-day / fixing-my-neighbors'-tech basis), but Linux Subsystem on Windows...?
I just found out about it, and installed Ubuntu on my main Win10 laptop...

The tech being rude about my RSA token not working locking me out trying to use a USB override stick...he got so mad he just walked out 😂

Why can't we ever have a page, or a business account, or whatever to follow for tech news without about 3 shit posts/advertisements for every 1 interesting one?

Another day I had to remind myself that I don't need to learn everything about anything in 3 hours
Lol (new equipment in for tech team and within minutes I was looking it up online) -
I am recently hearing about some people in some companies emotionally scarring other people by talking about loyalty to a company whenever someone is leaving them. I never had to meet such geniuses. But i never became an important employee in a firm yet.. Is it common in tech ? Atleast in India !?10
-
OK, we all hate Gates, Elon or LTT for some reason. All heroes in my eyes. Ok, I do cringe at some LTT stuff, especially when about Linux.
I've read a book about Gates (Very bad one), about Elon and Jobs. So, I think I investigated well.
But there, a list from people we all hate for some reason. Question is, who's your tech hero?
For me, it's Robert Nystrom. But being a dictator of own project like Torvalds is my dream10 -
any dev pioneering techs here watched "black mirror". if didnt do it, it just might change your life and views about tech.3

Graduated last week and will start working next week as a Java/Java EE Developer . What do you guys think about the tech?2
-
We have a brand new employee who won't ever shut the hell up. He likes talking about "my scripts" a whole lot. Guy really loves scripts. He'd admitted to copying these strings from his previous company.
We had an all-tech meeting today and he went on and on, talking about what was at this old company. He's so damn annoying. Listening to him is pure cringe.6 -
I actually learned alot about software development after getting a job and doing it for a year, but not in my 4 years of B. Tech Education.

What about devRant start monthly dev challenges and winners gets Freebies tech stuff jobs and other shit11

I can't stand how big tech companies treat you like a child. Every fucking team bonding activity is more childlike than the other.
Its like they are about to bundle crayons and pizza next time you are on crunch.3 -
Interviewer (project manager):
We are great company and we need high skill in lots of languages and technology like js, python, es6, docker, vagrant, linux and ..., we are always use new tech in fact we are on the edge of technology
Me: wow your company is the best
After hired:
Project manager:
Forget about new tech
Just make this project alive with wordpress and plugins,do it man just do it
Me: 😑😑😑😑😑1 -
Tech lead is getting on my friggin nerves. The tech lead keeps all the important info about the project for himself, does no sort of coding just merges stuff on Git and makes me handle any small fry problems which give me little to no insight into the project.
Then complains to the manager about the fact that nobody will help him and he has no time to do any work.
Meanwhile he creates own little club of people to talk to and stops talking to us devs.
Is this how its always been?7 -
How about being laid off over a 5min video call one morning when you completely didn’t suspect it? 😅 At least that taught me a valuable lesson about all these fuckin companies early on in my tech career! Watch me never prioritize their bs over work/life balance haha

I'm curious about your opinion and response on using OctoberCMS to build a news & media publishing website like Times, TechCrunch, Mashable, The Verge etc.
I don't wanna ask which stack/tool to use nor I have any tech specific nitty gritty issues yet. However any type of response is warmly welcome.6 -
Need advice guys
Where I'm working now I'm the tech lead, but I'm not happy. I want to get deeper into infrastructure and DevOps but I have no scope for that.
I have an offer from another company. A very small raise. Supposedly will lead to tech lead in 6 months after I help them recruit a team. Offered mid. I went back and said because of uncertainty about where the role would head, and coming from where I am, I would accept the offer with the title so I have more confidence about the future of the role.
They came back with a senior role, not tech lead, saying there's no scope for that yet. They also said they envision giving me architecture control and letting me train and drive the cloud process.
But this is all heresay. I could take the role, the project is postponed, there is no team to be a tech lead for, and so no pay increase or opportunity to learn.
Opinions?6 -
Tech lead: so for this sprint, please implement this HTML page in Angular
Me: do we know what kind of Angular table we are using yet?
Tech Lead: just use the Angular UI one
Me: do we know if that supports drag and drop and custom filters?
Tech Lead: that's not needed for this page
Me: yeah but like 5 other pages of this web app does
Tech Lead: so? We will find a different table then.
Me: but they will look and feel very different and it will be totally obvious that it's patchwork, and we will need to rewrite this page you want me to write now...
Tech Lead: so what if they look completely different. Stop thinking about future sprints. can you have it done next week?
Me: ummmm.....
... this is going to be a fun project. Oh, not to mention I'm only supposed to work on it for 20% of my time....1 -

Here is what I don't understand about elementaryOS: it's supposed to be targeted at users who aren't tech savvy. But in order to perform any major upgrades you need to reinstall the entire operating system.

Here in devrant I often hear about tech companies taking awful technical decisions (e.g. https://devrant.com/rants/2162692/... ).
My question is: do this companies actually have success with their products? Or is the tech world full of huge failures we never discover?1 -
You know your day/week/month/year is fucked when your non-tech boss tells you about this awesome new tech that he has found in a article...

Non tech hobby of mine: bird watching (you may have guessed based on my username). Although it’s a non tech hobby, there are so many great apps to help identify birds and learn about them. EBird, birdnet, Merlin, picture bird etc. I also have a few books about bird watching.
Crazy how many different kinds of birds you can see when you really start paying attention.4 -
Since everyone rants about interviews, I think that's the perfect time to ask this.
In a week, I'm going to have my first interview.
Its for an apprenticeship as "Fachinformatiker für Systemintegration".
For the non-german speakers, pretty much sysadmin,server-engineer, sometimes internal tech-support.
The company isn't a tech-company, but a logistics-company.
The interview will be done by the boss of the company's location and the lead of the IT-department.
So, what should I expect, what questions and such ?3 -

8 hours in the office yesterday without any tasks. 1 hour in today, still no tasks. I wonder how long this will go on for.
Plus side: so much time for reading about new [to me] tech4 -
Misused phrases by non-tech people I can't stand in 2020: "the new normal" & "telework". It's like how in 2018 everyone used "algorithm" like they knew what they were talking about. Same thing in 2007 with "accelerometer".7

Well this is epic... The GitHub acquisition is so big, my dad just emailed an article to me about it...
He's a Dev but he's not usually up to date on tech news...
I'm sorta confused, I see a lot of about in Algo about this but didn't we know already like 2 days ago? -
My fiancee was a developer and is now starting recruiting. The recruitment agency knows that she's a tech girl. I'm trying to push her to get all the IT recruitment jobs, because we all know that java != javascript, she does too, but 99% of recruiters do not. Whats the best way you were approached by a recruiter? And should she show to the recruitees that she has tech knowledge? Would you , yourself look at a recruiter that knows about IT differently? Advice appreciated :)4

Guys, what is the worst thing that could happen if you don't take measurements against big tech companies spying about what you are doing?12

YouTube first what's it's about or get information about the tech. Next, look for free tutorials on YouTube.
When working on the tech, use Google to look to bug-fix or code that some might have already written. -
Today my friend told me that it's part of our job to calmly and politely explain to our non-tech manager about the tech things (tradeoffs, risks, possibilities, etc.).

Why so many people complain about this lack of a 3.5mm jack? It's 2016 and we still have that fossil of a tech from the early 20th century. A digital device with an analog input... I mean, come on! It's for the future.10 -

Alright I have a question for android/ios app dev, as being a web dev I see one has to do so much for tech stack as there are tons of web languages. And to keep themselves upto date according to the latest tech stack they have to learn new every day.
What about app devs you don't have so many languages like web do so can I say a person spending more time in one lang can learn it way better than web devs who have to look for the latest tech stack and start from the scratch?7 -
I love that moment in the company when my opinion does not matter about but the time gives the reason to the crazy tech guy that nobody listen in first place4

Ever wondered how Elon himself talked about not messing with AI in the past. I vaugely remember this was when there was a clash between Mark and Elon. And now Elon's companies OpenAI and Neuralink working on advanced tech. The same tech he told everyone to not mess with.
I haven't followed the trail of events clearly. But now this thought comes to my mind.
Anyone thinks the same? Or am I missing something?16 -

How the heck can Twitter's algorithms for selecting "Who to follow" and "Trends" suggestions? I tweet exclusively (but rarely) about tech, but Twitter seems to think that loudmouthed SJWs would be the perfect people for a tech tweeter to follow.
FFS, intersectional gender studies from a class struggle perspective are not of the slightest interest to a techie.
Maybe Twitter just selects the most frequent tweeters in you area, regardless of content.3 -
I've been dealing with a guy who knows almost nothing about tech and always insists on asinine systems and buzz words he's been sold by 3rd party vendors. Lately he really wants to replace our relational dbs with hdfs.
Our data is sub 10 gb in size.
I've been seriously considering making a contracting company and just preying on tech fools like this, I just don't know if I could ethically swallow it. -
Starting a project in work learning some new tech. After a brief introduction to the tech, the lead dev can't wait to tell us about how we need to coordinate our daily standups with another team in a different part of the world.

the mistake people keep making when they're happy about some new tech and its possibilities is that they keep forgetting we are being ruled, and the tech is being controlled and monopolized, by a cult of megalomaniacal, narcissistic, powerhungry, moneyhungry, ideologically fundamentalist control freak lizards who give exactly ZERO shits about people, or the quality of their products, or some vision/ambition of making things better for people/humanity.
you think "vr metaverse", and you imagine Oasis because you think it's being made by James Halliday, while, in reality it's being made by a team of Cthulhus so it would be closer to reality if you imagined the people pods that ensure your lifetime connection to The Matrix.1 -
Feeling really lonely as the only one who cares about ethical tech. Everyone around me just wants to build money making products and it doesn't matter if it adds value, only if it makes money. I wanna do good things with tech but it's getting harder. And my company just put a new CEO in charge who has a business plan but no vision. No added value. Just taking money from customers, making them addicted to the product. That's all that matters.9

Like collabs, we should have a new section for only technical discussions about anything like common practices, is there a better way to do this, how's the new tech, general discussions about a library or language etc.
I'm not much interested in the jokes and that's all I see in my feed. Not that I hate that aspect but I prefer more of the tech talk.

I was talking to some buddies of mine the other day about remote work: is it sustainable long term. If remote work starts to collapse, everyone who has moved out of the cities might find themselves unable to afford homes. I wrote a whole post about it here:

What new tech/framework/library are you most excited about?
I recently found out about Svelte/Sapper, and I've been having a blast with it. It feels like mini-react, but just as powerful - with a few convenience features that I actually wish react had itself. Also their docs page is amazing. I wish all docs were this good.10 -
'Tech debt' is the word that every CEO hates to hear during roadmap review.
Instead, talk about how certain part of the code will drastically slow down future development, make it more difficult to troubleshoot, and reduce engineering happiness overall.1 -
Quick Question Please.
For those of us who are in a dating relationship, how do you handle dating (someone you are sure you will want to get married to), tight work schedule and learning new things about tech???9 -
Hi there!
I'm trying to find a reliable way to learn about what technologies are popular/trending, and where the tech industry is headed generally.
Is there a site that any of you frequent to get the latest news in tech?1 -
So I’ve been wanting to build my own web apps for a while now, but I can’t seem to find any info on the legal stuff that goes into that. I know at minimum I’ll need a privacy policy.
Like do I need a lawyer to get everything set up? I’m not talking about creating a startup. Just web apps that people can use, e.g. a casual budget app or content aggregator. Just looking for a side hustle for a little extra cash and some experience.
What about compliance with the tech I use? If I setup a freemium app, am I out of compliance with open source tech I’m using? Anyway sorry for the long post 😅3 -
The Senior Director of Engg of a company does not know what MEAN stack is.. Some ridiculous facts about Tech Industry!3

Looking at server rentals prices.
Windows ones are, as a rule, about 2x more expensive than linux ones.
Which made me realize the reason why it's usually the more crap tech that wins and spreads:
because usually the more crap tech is free.
We're a bunch of cheapskates willing to impose shit tech on ourselves in the name of saving a few bucks.
In other news, there's no news today.4 -
Whats next...
Devcons coming up / discussions about tech or dev news highlights / how u even dev bro? -

I am thinking about leaving my job cause even though the work life balance is amazing and team is great, it doesn’t pay as much as tech companies around where I live (HCOL) and I feel like a terrible person for feeling that way.2
-
Which should I choose:
Company A: much better pay and benefits, team seems nice, Glassdoor citing quite bad reviews about CEO and upper management.
Company B: current company. uninteresting field, team in distance, tech lead likes micro management and quite annoying in general. In middle of a project.5 -
Why do TPMs and non tech people ask for hard deadlines without knowing any technical details about how will it be implemented or how deep it is.
Then blaming you for giving wrong deadlines when it doesn't complete before the deadline for any reason whatsoever

Where do you guys get your daily news about Tech, IT, Dev Related things?
I want something with push notifications and just serious sources without bullshit infos.9 -

After a couple weeks I'm going to do a #Flutter workshop level 1
I know that I got all the information and the topics about it, but the thing is when you know that the students I'll tech them are mostly bigger than me!!
Or my friends (same age)
So any advice about doing the whole workshop thing and about dealing with the students who are bigger then me?1 -

When Tech Fails… Again!
You know that moment when your phone freezes mid-task, your favorite app crashes for the fifth time today, and every update promises “better performance” but somehow makes things worse? Yeah, I’m living it. It’s 2025, and we’re still struggling with basic tech reliability. From glitchy apps to devices that overheat while doing the simplest things, it feels like tech is working against us instead of for us!
If you’re as tired of this as I am, check out Upcoming Web.
for tips, app recommendations, and insights that actually make tech easier to deal with. Honestly, it’s about time we get devices that respect our time, not just our wallets!4 -
Hi....I made a website called gyangoggles to share tech articles and I fell in love with WordPress. Now I am planning to learn php. But there are many resources online which highlights negativity about php. Now please guide me whether I should go with php or choose something else.

I wanted to ask some of you who might know better, i have been working as a backend developer in a tech company for about 8 months now. This is my first ever job so dont know about other companies. Is it common that frontend teams get more spotlight interms of features than backend ? Is this common or is it just the company i work for?4
-
All these big tech companies making facilities that largely incorporate being outside as part of the work experience...am I the only one that thinks "but what about the insects"?2
-
Not sure if this has been asked before but I would love to get some book recommendations, particularly about tech.
Though other genres that you think might be interesting are welcome.2 -
Idiots in my team
1) Fullstack : ask's way too many questions.
2) Tech manager - knows nothing about management
3) backend : assumes he know's everything and when asked says he know's nothing -
As the end of the decade is a week away.
I was wondering what would the tech predictions for the next decade would be?
It can be anything *as long as* it's tech related (e.g. computer languages, frameworks/libs, tools, processes, techniques, ...).
Remember to keep the thread civil and if someone already commented something you were about to comment, upvote their suggestion.17 -
I am a web dev. I got a job as a tech lead 6 months ago and I was very happy about it... But now I don't think I made the right decision. What should a dev evolve into? Any tech leads here that started as devs ( I mention I have 12 yrs+ of experience as a dev ).4

DIGITAL TECH GUARD RECOVERY - THE BEST RECOVERY EXPERTS
I’m a woman based in Cleveland, Ohio, and as a data analyst, I’ve always prided myself on making calculated, well-researched decisions when it comes to my investments. I’m careful about where I put my money, whether in stocks, real estate, or even emerging markets like cryptocurrency. So when I came across a promising crypto platform, I thought it was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up. I was casually scrolling through TikTok one evening when I first heard about this platform. It seemed legitimate, with lots of positive testimonials and high returns being promised. After reviewing everything carefully, looking at user feedback, features, and even doing some basic background checks, I decided to invest $200,000. It was a calculated risk, or so I thought. I was feeling pretty confident, believing I had made an informed decision based on the data. However, things quickly took a turn for the worse. The platform started experiencing delays in withdrawals, and customer support went silent. At first, I thought it was just a technical issue, but as days turned into weeks and my funds were still tied up, I began to worry. I eventually realized the worst-case scenario: I’d been scammed. The platform disappeared entirely, taking my investment with it. It was gut-wrenching. All that time and effort I’d put into research seemed pointless, and I was left wondering how I’d missed the red flags. Feeling frustrated and defeated, I turned to YouTube in search of answers. As I was watching videos related to crypto scams, I came across a comment that mentioned Digital Tech Guard Recovery. Someone had shared their experience of recovering lost funds with their help. Curious, I did some more research, and everything I found about Digital Tech Guard Recovery seemed promising. I was hesitant at first, but given my situation, I decided to reach out. Digital Tech Guard Recovery quickly took over the process.

Between tournaments, I'd mined $330,000 worth of Bitcoins, building capital quietly over the vocation. It wasn't even a side venture. It was the fall- back for the future, something upon which one could fall back when the vocation eventually dried up. But all this nearly disappeared one evening.I turned the rig like every ordinary day, ready to grind some games, only to discover the bright red screen. My computer became inaccessible, and all the files were all encrypted. My heart sank. They were demanding the ransom through the medium of Bitcoin and warned them about deleting all the data unless I paid them the ransom. But the worse is? My $330,000-worth-of-wallet, all held up the very same computer.
I felt like being checkmated. I did know online games could turn ugly, this one being one notch higher. For days, panic mode for me. I could not make up my mind about whether I dreaded the loss of the Bitcoin or the thought some guy behind the screen has bested me.
That was when one of the players from the opponent side approached me unexpectedly. We'd met earlier during competitions, but the player sent one message containing some advice that turned the situation around for the best. He informed me about Digital Tech Guard Recovery, where he said they were the best when it came to stolen wallets and cyberattacks. I contacted them the following day. From the start, the experience felt different. They did not explain things using complicated tech mumbo for the sole purpose of bewildering me. They broke all this down for me so that I could understand the process. My issue went over to their security experts, and they were available around the clock trying to break the encryption without draining my wallet.
Ten days later, the wallet lay open. All $330,000 were present, not crumpled. My jaw dropped. To make it through the final round after being one shot from being gone felt like winning.
The best part is not only did they recover the money, but also educated you about anti-phishing, protected wallets for the future, and even gave advice about keeping the gaming account secure. Digital Tech Guard Recovery did not only recover the Bitcoin for you; they also ensured you will not fall for the same scum again. GG, scum.1 -
With stock market down, I want to get into some future tech trends cheap but which ones are good.... honestly don't think I can make much unless the prices jump 50-100%...
I see clean tech and 5g, but not really sure what 5g means. Not sure what the wow factor is...
Clean tech feels like we need to do it or we're screwed though I was also thinking about buying oil... But that's probably b not a good long term.
Crypto I don't think it doing to well and sorta goes against clean tech? So what else is there and thoughts?20 -

HIRE META TECH RECOVERY PRO TO SALVAGE LOST BITCOIN INVESTMENT.META TECH RECOVERY PRO
As a retired doc, I never thought I'd get scammed, especially not out of a whopping $98,000 in Bitcoin, thanks to a terrible forex deal. Had an internship interview earlier this morning, it's a newer company just getting started says they don't have any technical aspects or employees yet so any programming interns would build the tech side up from scratch. They pay would start at $15 an hour with a guaranteed job at the end. Location is easier to get to than school.
I got an offer 20 minutes ago, I like the opportunity but I'm worried about them having college interns build the initial tech setup and work flow without supervision of a more experienced IT person2 -

I want to share a positive experience with RUDER CYBER TECH SLEUTHS after a failed crypto investment left me feeling hopeless. Initially skeptical due to my past losses, I was impressed by their professionalism and clear communication about the recovery process. They successfully recovered all my lost crypto and profits, restoring my trust. I also want to warn others about crypto scams, as I lost $573,000 to impostors posing as traders. My advice is to stay vigilant and consider professionals like RUDER CYBER TECH SLEUTHS for asset recovery.2
