I replaced a python/mysql daily process that takes 25 minutes to run with a perl/redis process that takes 1 minute to run, so it runs multiple times a day. Mgmt asks me to convert it to python/mysql, "...but keep the run time at one minute. That's great!"

Meaning: 100 it's impossibile, we want actually do 50, but we set a high target so people will sweat their ass off. But we don't tell them the truth.
- Tech people: no way, we will deploy and install no more than 25!

So I recently found out that just about every other company in this town pays their devs with equivalent experience at least 25% more than what my current employer does.
I requested a salary meeting and informed my boss that I'm way below the average for my position, he replied "Yeah, your salary has been below average for years now, yet you are my best employee in this area".
It hurts that he very well knew this fact and still decided not do to anything about it before I brought it up.

I found a great app on iOS that allowed me to clone my Git repo, make commits, change branches, it had everything! I made a small commit and went to push to the remote server, but then it told me that I had to purchase premium to be able to push to remote. I was kind of upset, but I went to check the price of premium, in case it was a few cents. Nope, $25 just to be able to push commits. Seriously?
