So few of you will know that I was a bit wasted last night (Monday night). Few of you will also know I was having trouble with my new linux installation. (POP!_OS)
After troubleshooting this and that, I gave up. I believe my hardware just doesn't wanna pop. So I installed manjaro xfce.

I've been down the road of phone wipes and phone swaps before that blow out the Google Auth codes which is nothing but a royal pain in the ass to get access back to all the accounts setup.
Authy having encrypted backups gives me some level of belief they can do what I want them to do, but I figured I would ask around before transferring over since... well that's a pain in the ass too 😂15 -
Why are project/tool webpages so useless...?
I mean, whenever I hear of a new tool/project I google its name. Of course, its dedicated webpage pops up as result #1. And EVERY TIME I find them looking nice, but quite confusing, riddled with all the buzzwords, nice phrases, promises of a better tomorrow,... but I'm yet to find a tool's webpage that explains what's that tool for and how to use it at least half as concisely and clearly as that tool's README.md in its GH/GL repo.
I mean, I can read every single word in the webpage, look at every picture/diagram, every fancy gif and still in absolute majority of cases I have no clue what that tool does.
Then I go to its GH/GL repo, read the first 2 sections of its README.md (takes me what, 2-4 minutes?) and I know all I need to now about the tool.
What's the point of those fancy webpages apart from containing docs and an SEO-tuned link to a README.md...?

So this post will be about a book. It's almost our Bible. Well it's probably the closest thing to a proper part of the trilogy we will get.

PHP is awesome, but it annoys me that there is no typing and that you still can get errors based on types...
Other than that, not being able to catch all errors in one catch and especially not being able to natively catch fatal errors is my biggest problem...
(not natively meaning that you can use hackish solutions but there's no "fatal error" class to use in your try catch, and you're using the register shutdown function not as intended...)8 -
Haas cnc machines have an sdk... Not only did it not work and crashed the machines, but most of the documentation was "to be added"...

Happy Christmas and happy new years. 2018 was not a good year for me. Many project got delayed and not happy with my performance. I wanted to learn many thing and do many things but was not able to achieve those things.
I don't even feel like enjoying my birthday anymore. (It's on 27).
Let's hope the 2019 will be better than this dumpster fuck 2018. -
I'm not the product manager. I'm not the leader. I'm not even in a lot of meetings. Why my colleagues ask me about product/development decisions?
I appreciate they about wanting to know my opinion, but when they come in a rush it is a bit stressful.
And I am not paid for that.
It might sound about selfish, but the reality is I am not one of those roles (and my salary neither) to avoid exactly this.

I just started studying and commenting did not seem so important to me because we've only written simple programs so far. Recently, a friend showed me his book and a story that was in there.
They bought a code and all the names were in Hebrew. Not so bad, if not all comments would be hebrew too. Wtf!
Now I know why commenting is important.1 -

So I stashed my changes to switch branches and quickly fix a f**k up, then I switched back and went to 'pop' the stash.... only I didn't click 'pop' I clicked...'delete' and GitKraken or ShitKraken as it should be called, didn't ask for confirmation... it just deleted all my changes. FML5

How much it really sucks to convince everyone around you about the idea you want to implement, but it cannot because the client is not happy and if he is not happy the management is also not happy. Its like we are chained to the chairs and systems, not letting us look at the outside world, where elegant solutions exists for smiple problems.

Back when I was younger my first contact with the master and slave terminology was through my old windows 98 computer. It would boot up and say something about the master and slave drive doing stuff.
And this was also about around the time that the "Prince of Egypt" movie had just came out.
And so in my, oh so wise little mind, thought that the master drive was whipping the slave drive into action.
So maybe, just maybe, changing the terminology might be a good thing, because my psychotic little mind was oh too happy about the idea of a master and slave drive duking it out in my computer.2 -
Not learning web quicker, it's now the most growing thing and there are so many technologies and frameworks and I haven't had enough time to go over them. However, the only problem is some of these frameworks last a little while and die out so it's not all that bad.1

They can be either bias or don't take a stance.
For some topic their reporting is very bias. Only giving a single point of view and just use facts to confirm it. I call it being bias.
For topic which they can be criticize for taking either side they use the so called "expert discussion"
They gather various expert and discuss about the topics.
Start = Undecided
End = Still undecided with a lot of confusions.
Some people will call it Democratic news channel , Republican news channel. They are wrong. There is only 1 news channel since they are all the same.
I am losing trust on the news channel (which I should not be feeling)

I just wish I could determine what I want as a reference and what I want as a value in JavaScript. I hate not being able to determine it myself and be constrained by a spec while not having any other language to use (no I'm not gonna use webassembly for everything).6

I heard I should not allow users to inject arbitrary text into my webpage without sanitizing it. Is it a clean solution to just eval it on the (node) server, and if it runs not post it because it's obviously JS and not just text?

I work in software testing and I hate it. Also my job is full of Indians and while I am not racist, I just hate working with them, bunch of soulless robots. I mean I guess I should be grateful that I am not overly stressed or jobless during those difficult times but there's 0 passion in what I do and seems like most companies are not happy about my career shift since I'm not getting hired anywhere else.19 -

Good company refuced my contracting service. Fuck that. And reasons do not sound good to tell - like team did not want me anymore, maybe too dificult project, I am not independent enough, too many fixes after code reviews. This sucks that I do not know how to fix those parts, I have tried. And about too dificult project - how can I do better on dificult projects, I am not sure. There are projects of similar dificulty in most companies. And if projects would be easy, then everyone does that and reward would be small.18
